Imphal, October 03 2011:
One should safeguard the cultural and religious identity of ones community.
A community which has lost all its identity is a lifeless community, said MLA O Joy.
Speaking at the inaugural function of the Narrative Art festival held at Manipur Ensemble Complex, Langthabal Kunja Makha Leikai, MLA O Joy said that we have to know who we are, what is our culture and identity.
The search for all these precious gifts of our ancestors has reduced to a certain extent.
To have a specific knowledge of all these is the only means to preserve our culture and safeguard our identity.
He further went on to say that Leishang Hiden, Chandranadi, Heibok Hill, Tomb of Gambhir Singh and Langthabal Capital are all related with our culture as well as our own identity.
We should preserve and conserve all these.
He also said that all these culture related monuments will be further constructed and preserved.
