RIMS inaugurates 150-bedded girls' hostel

A newly constructed 150-bedded Undergraduate Girls' Hostel (Ladies Hostel - Ill) was inaugurated on Sunday by RIMS director Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma, in the presence of MS Prof N Sanjib Singh.
The state-of-the-art facility is a testament to RIMS' commitment to providing a conducive and comfortable living environment for its students, said Prof Sunil, while congratulating the first occupants and highlighting the hostel's modern amenities and high standards, aimed at elevating student living conditions.
He outlined RIMS' master plan, which includes a 750-bedded hospital and new residential and hostel facilities over the next eight years.
Ladies Hostel I & II will be demolished in phase one, with students accommodated in new facilities.
Future projects also include additional hostels, residential complexes, and enhanced sports and recreational amenities, he added.
RIMS has partnered with the Ministry of Jal Shakti to implement a modern water supply system for the campus and neighbouring areas.
The director further highlighted sustainability in managing hostel operations amid rising inflation and reaffirmed RIMS' commitment to enhancing campus facilities.
He also assured students of on-going improvements and sought their cooperation for the success of these initiatives.
The event was attended by the deputy director (RIMS), chief account officer cum financial advisor, sub-dean, faculty members, staff and students of the medical institute.
