Sit-in staged demanding repairing of road

Kakching, August 17 2024: Lamkhai to Sugnu Road State Highway Development and Demand Committee along with meira paibis of Elangkhanpokpi, Thounaojam Yangdong and Langmeidong staged sit in protests at different parts of Elangkhanpokpi, Thounaojam Yandong and Langmeidong demanding repairing of Wabagai Lamkhai to Sugnu road on Saturday.

Denouncing negligence of the government, Lamkhai to Sugnu Road State Highway Development and Demand Committee led the protest from August 12 demanding repairing of the dilapidated stretch of the state highway from Lamkhai to Sugnu.

The protestors informed that the state highway hasn't been repaired for the last 12-13 years.

As such, the road condition is terrible and dangerous for the people travelling on the road.
