Imphal, September 23 2019:
The Zeliangrong Union (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland) has expressed disappointment at the snail pace investigation into the case of Ningthoujam Babysana.
A statement issued by the association mentioned that it has been almost 2 months and 18 days since the investigation began and reasoned that this period should be more than enough for smooth investigation and delivering justice.
It then added that the association is concerned for the people who were arrested in connection with the case as they must be suffering both mentally and physically inside the jail.
As such, the association appealed to the Govenrment to expedite the case and give befitting punishment to those found guilty as per the law of the land.
