Strela Luwang accorded warm welcome

Imphal, April 28 2023: Large number of people of Uripok Bachaspati Leikai along with members of local club and Meira Paibi association, Miss Manipur Organisers and well-wishers accorded warm welcome to Femin'a Miss India-2023 second runner-up title winner Strela Luwang at Imphal International Airport upon her arrival here from Mumbai on Friday at 11.30 am .

Interacting with the media at her Uripok Bachaspati Leikai residence, Strella said that she was able to win the title due to the love and support of the people of Manipur.

She encouraged those aspiring to choose fashion and modelling as a career, stating that models from the state can one day win several such titles including Miss World.

She further said that she will continue to work towards promoting mental health.

Strela, who represented Manipur at the pageant, was crowned the 2nd runner-up title during the glitzy grand finale night held at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium on April 15 .

Soon after the grand finale, Strela and the other winners of the coveted and glamorous beauty pageant left for Mumbai for Femina Miss India official work assignments and other related projects.

Now, after fulfilling all the hectic schedules and being away from home for months, Strela said she is happy to be finally back home and reunited with her family members.

"I look forward to spending valuable time with my parents, siblings, friends and relatives," said the excited Strela.

With the title, Strela wants to continue her advocacy for mental health issues and a child-friendly education system.

"I can't change Manipur and I don't want to make false promises.

However, I really want to advocate on mental health issues as I feel it is something that I was closely related to throughout my life," said Strela.

Mention may be made here that Strela Luwang had also won Colorbar Miss Glamorous Look sub-contest, Trends Miss Style Icon sub-contest, and Manipur Miss Eco Warrior sub-con-test in the Femina Miss India 2023.Notably, Manipur created history by hosting the 59th Femina Miss India 2023 grand finale.
