Minister assures upgrade of 'CMC' Hospital Infra

Imphal, August 20 2024: Health & Family Welfare minister Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh on Tuesday inspected infrastructure of the Covid Hospital at Kyamgei in Imphal East district accompanied by NHM Manipur state mission director Dr M Dinesh Singh, Health Services joint director Dr Prabin Singh, Churachandpur Medical College (CMC) director Dr Iboyaima Singh, officials of Health Department and faculties of CMC.

It may be mentioned here that Covid Hospital is one of the temporary sites for conducting classes for CMC in Imphal.

While interacting with the staff and MBBS students of CMC who are attending classes at the Kyamgei facility due to the prevailing crisis, minister Ranjan informed that the state government has decided to renovate and install requisite infrastructure at Covid Hospital, Kyamgei for the convenience of the staffers and students of CMC as a temporary measure.

He appealed to all concerned to cooperate with the new initiatives of the Health Department for MBBS students of CMC who are in Imphal.

Dr Ranjan also instructed authority concerned including the contractors to start their assigned works and complete the same at the earliest.

The ministerial team also inspected the campus of the Hospital and its surroundings.
