Imphal, September 12 2018: Socio-Development Sub Committee (SDSC) Khabam Lamkhai Chumbreithong, Khabam Lamkhai Nupi Marup and Chumbreithong Nupi Marup have clarified that they did not resort to any illegal activities as claimed in a report regarding Redirection given byManipur Human Rights Commission to the SP of Imphal East District to take up necessary lawful actions.

Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, SDSC president Maibam Bishorchand said that neither SDSC, Meira Paibis nor any individual laid hands or harassed Ningthoujam Subasini or any of her family members in any way.

However, when the locality called both parties in connection with the dispute, Subasini or any of her family members refused to participate.

On the other hand, advisor of Khabam Lamkhai Nupi Marup Thoudam Ibellei alleged that Subasini had a fight with her uncle Mongjam Mangi, on August 18, a day before the Asthi Sanchai of her (Subasini) mother.

On that day, Mangi was injured after Subasini attacked him with a spade, she claimed.

Not only that, Subasini called her family members who began thrashing Mangi's family members as well, she claimed adding that SDSC has the video footage to prove the claim.

Condemning the blatant disregard for the locality shown by Subasini and her family members, Ibellei said that the club and the Meira Paibis will take up necessary actions to face the injustice head on.
