Jiribam police rescue one

Jiribam, January 09 2018:
The Jiribam District Police rescued one Sumen Singh of Kamaranga, Cachar, Assam who was abducted by some unknown armed youth from Lamnong areas under Tousem Sub- Division, Tamenglong District.
According to sources, Sumen Singh was abducted from his worksite at Tunnel No 7P1 of Barak, on January 5 at around 7 am.
Meanwhile, after receiving information about abduction, the Jiribam District Police in collaboration with 37 Assam Rifles and a CDO took a prompt action by launching a search operation in some suspected locations, on the same day.
After numerous search, Sumen Singh was rescued by Jiribam Police O C from Langom village today.
Speaking to media persons, Jiribam Police O C stated that two suspicious persons were chased during their search operation at Langom Village, however, the duo fled away.
The entire swift search operation was conducted under the supervision of SP, Jiribam District Mubi Moirangthem.
