Jiri District library in bad shape

Jiribam, August 31 2018:
It has been reported that the condition of a Government run district library at Jiribam which was built with the sanction from Raja Ram Mohan Roy Foundation, Kolkata is in bad shape.
The said library was inaugurated on October 9, 2015 by the then chief librarian and housed some 3-4 almirahs as bookshelf, said NEJDP, Jiribam District Committee.
Manipur Sahitya Parishad, Jiribam are now using the building of the library as their temporary makeshift, it added.
North East India Development Party, Jiri District Committee said that the public of Jiribam were deprived of a good library for so many years and urged the authority concerned to look into the matter failing which intense form of agitation will be launched, said a statement of NEIDP, Jiri District Committee.
