Imphal, August 26 2024: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (WHP) Imphal Zilla organised a "Gita Pratiyogita" (Gita Sloka recitation competition) at Yaiskul Ngakraba Leirak Gurumayum Mandap on Sunday.

The competition was conducted in connection with the 60th foundation day celebration of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, said a release issued by WHP Manipur Upa Prant.

The recitation competition was judged by Sanskrit Acharya Sijagurumayum Gouramani Sharma, Kakchingtabam Brajamani Sharma and Leihaothabam Saratchandra Sharma.

Altogether, 38 students participated in the competition.

The winners of the competition in order of merit are - Krishi Yangoijam of Thangmeiband Maisnam Leikai, Rajkumar Satyam of Ningthoukhong Gopinath and Thokchom Chanchan Devi of Khangabok Tangkha Leikai.

Cash prizes along with certificates were presented to all the winners and the participants.
