NEC officials to take stock of devt programmes in state

Imphal, July 18 2012:
Health Advisor of North East Council (NEC) DL Wangkher and its Science and Technology Director S Choudhuri would be arriving here tomorrow to take stock of development programmes being taken up in the state with funding from NEC.
According to reliable sources, the duo would be reaching Imphal at around 11: 50 am tomorrow on a two-day visit to the state and their accommodations have been arranged at Hotel Classic, North AOC Imphal.
Soon after their arrival, they would be visiting JNIMS and inspecting the infrastructural developments and other construction works being taken up there.
Later in the afternoon, the duo would be inspecting the ongoing construction works at Inter-State Bus Terminus at Khuman Lampak which is being carried out under NEC funding.
On July 20, the visiting NEC officials would be inspecting the site where a Blood Bank is proposed to be constructed at Shija Hospital and Research Institute at Langol.
After that, they would be visiting Hotel Imphal at North AOC to take a look at the construction works going on there.
In the afternoon of July 20, the NEC officials would be visiting the office of Women Upliftment Organisation at Sega Road Maning Takhellambam Leikai.
The Organsiation is being run with NEC funding under its Income generation for Rural Poor Women through Handloom Development Programme.
The NEC official team would be leaving Imphal in the evening at around 5:30 pm on the same day.
