Imphal, July 18 2012:
Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) has refuted the charges leveled by KNF that their General Secretary was attacked by KRA cadres, saying that the KRA cadres came to the camp of KNF at Haipi village on July 15 to rescue the four SH-ADC members who have been kidnapped.
Addressing media persons, T Simte, Publicity Secretary, KRA said that the four SH-ADC members have been abducted by KNF cadres and security guards of MLA Nemcha Kipgen, who is the wife of President of KNF.
Since the state government had not tried to rescue the four abducted members, KRA personally went to rescue the abducted ADC members from the clutches of KNF.
There was no intension of killing or beating Aaron Kuki.
Simte further said that existing fiasco in SH-ADC thereby hampering development works is against the interest of general public.
The party stands for peace and unity and is also against violation of human rights.
However, the KNF has been going on with the habit of abduction for quite a long time.
The party will never remain silent under such circumstances.
Actions will be taken up against all those carrying out such crimes.
He also alleged that there have been several cases where KNF cadres were severely beaten up present SH-ADC Chairman and various other members.
But there have been no cases where KRA breached the SoO ground rules.
The party respects all other organizations but it will not remain silent and will take up stringent measures against all those organizations indulging in anti-social activities.
