Newly constructed shrine of Lainingthou Puthiba inaugurated

Imphal, February 05 2022: The newly constructed shrine of Lainingthou Puthiba at Langthabal Lep Awang Leikai was inaugurated today.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ningombam Ibochouba, MD BIPL; L Roshan, Langthabal ZP member; N Ganga, pradhan, Ningombam GP; A Sunanda, pradhan, Naorem Leikai GP and M Maniton, convenor of UKAL as presidium members.

Speaking at the event, N Ibochouba said the previous shrine of Ibudhou Puthiba and Ibendhou Thambalnganbi had been in a very poor state for the last 50 years.

He had contributed as much as he could to upgrade the shrine with active support from local youth clubs and the Lainingthou Puthiba Haraoba Committee.

The result of the collaborative effort is behind the completion of the newly constructed shrine, he added.

Reacting against rumours that he was preparing to contest election, N Ibochouba said his social work has nothing to do with politics.
