Terence to stage public support show at Ukhrul on Oct 22

Ukhrul, October 20 2012: For a school dropout Terence LA, the lone voice of Manipur in the North East Highway Star Voice Hunt, it is a matter of great pride not only for himself but also of the entire State to set his foothold in the grand finale.

On October 27 in Shillong, the North East Highway Star Voice Hunt will finally pick its star and Terence is one among the 11 contenders for the coveted title.

The winner of the event will come home richer by Rs.3,00,000 and a chance to sing one song for Find Studio Production Mumbai in their next movie.

The Ist runner up and the 2nd runner up would get Rs.100000 and Rs.50000 respectively.

An unassuming young lad, who hails from Lamlang Gate, Terence has already won many hearts in his run up to the grand finale of the Voice Hunt, and he would be staging a home coming performance on October 22 at Ukhrul.

In his support, the Indigenous Youth Energy (IYE) is throwing in all to garner the public votes for which the campaign will be launched at Viewland Baptist Church junction from 4pm."He is also here to ask for public support to vote for him during this final round of the contest...With our timely support, we hope he will win the title and bring glory..." said IYE CEO Freddie Longleng.

To win or not to win doesn't matter at the end of the day.

The group behind Terence, who is also the main vocal in Salt and Light Travelling band, feels "His achievement is an inspiration to the youth" in the entire State.

In December 2011, he was also part of the Salt and Light Travelling band, one of the two bands from Manipur, to participate in the Hornbill National Rock Contest in Nagaland.

Terence is never deterred by lack of education, but his grit and love for music have made him to excel in music field.

The singer is fluent with varied genres from metal to rock and folk.

In its appeal to the public, the IYE stated that his participation in the Voice Hunt is "a step towards positive contribution by a school dropout to his community" .
