4 TSE scribes in line for State award

Four reporters of The Sangai Express are among seven selected joumalists and editors for different State Journalists' awards 2017 to be conferred by DIPR.
The awards will be presented on Nov 16 to commemorate the National Press Day at 1 st MR Banquet Hall.
The four TSE reporters selected for the awards are Ahongshangbam Dilip Kumar (Parliamentary Reporting), Laishram Shamungou (Science and Technology Reporting), Mayanglambam Romen (Sports Reporting) and Sapam Aruna (Women & Children) .
The award carries Rs 25,000 and a citation each.
Chief Reporter (Political) of The Sangai Express, Ahongshangbam Dilip Kumar s/o (L) A Babu of Naoremthong Khullem Leikai stepped into the field of journalism from 1984 .
Senior Staff Reporter of TSE, Laishram Shamungou s/o L Totobi and Dashumati of Khoijuman Mayai Leikai started his journalism career in 1999.Presently residing at Changangei, Shamungou had already won the State Journalists' award thrice.
M Romen s/o M Modhu of Tera Keithel joined TSE as sports journalist in 2000 .
Sapam Aruna d/o (L) S Bidhu and (L) Sanahanbi of Soibam Leikai made foray into the field of journalism in 2000.Aruna had earlier won the DIPR's State Journalist Award in Women and Children reporting category.
