Imphal, November 27 2024: he Assam Rifles averted a major fire incident in a residential area near Mantripukhri, Imphal on December 26, 2024.According to a release issued by HQ IGAR(South), on December 26 at around 5 pm, a vigilant sentry noticed flames erupting in a house approximately 200 meters from the sentry post.

Acting promptly, the sentry alerted the battalion, and the firefighting team was immediately mobilized.

Their quick response and efficient techniques controlled the fire before it could spread to nearby structures.

The Manipur Fire Brigade and State Police arrived shortly after, assisting in securing the area and ensuring the situation was fully contained.

No casualties were reported, and significant property damage was averted.

The incident highlighted the preparedness and commitment of Assam Rifles in ensuring the safety and well-being of the local community.
