Voter awareness campaign, ICOP on SVEEP conducted

A voter awareness campaign on the theme "Nation First-Voting Must" was conducted today at the auditorium of College of Agriculture, C AU, Imphal.
The campaign was organised by the College of Agriculture in association with Agrivision, Manipur.
Professor Indira Sarangthem, Dean; Kamal Nayan, Bhagawat Singh Rajawat and Gautam Philem graced the programme as presidium members.
Faculty, scientists, staff and students of the college attended the campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Indira Sarangthem highlighted the importance of casting one's vote and encouraged the students to choose the right candidate and cast their vote instead of going for NOTA for a strong, self-resilient and developed nation.
Meanwhile, Kamal Nayan and Gautam Philem emphasized on the value of one's vote as this opportunity to choose the right candidate comes only once in 5 years.
Faculties, Scientists, Staff and Students of the college attended the campaign.
Separately, the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Regional Office, Imphal under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India organized an Integrated Communication and Outreach Program (ICOP) on 'Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP)' at its office auditorium at Wangkhei Yonglan Leirak today.
According to a statement issued by Dr Nongmaithem Reena, FPO, CBC, RO, Imphal, the SVEEP program was organised with the aim to inform, educate and create awareness among people for maximum electoral participation as well as choosing right leader for the betterment of society in view of the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha elections 2024.Tongbram Tejkumar, president, Manipur Innovation Society; Dr Engam Pame, Director, CBC, RO, Imphal ADG Region, other officials and various artists attended the program.
As part of the program, the Director Dr Engam Pame released the Regional Office's home production of two audio visual albums based on SVEEP.
