State Plan: Only Rs 290 cr expended from Rs 1423 cr

Even though the Central Government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 1423.08 crores as State Plan for this fiscal year, out of the total revised outlay of Rs 3503.50 crores, the State Government has been able to spend only Rs 290.19 crores.
According to a highly placed source, the total approved outlay for the year 2012-13 is Rs 3500 crores while the revised outlay is Rs 3503.50 crores.
From the whole amount, the Centre has sanctioned Rs 1423.08 crores so far.
But the State Government has been able to utilize Rs 290.19 crores only.
The source further revealed that the Central Government has not sanctioned even 50% of the total amount that should have been sanctioned under the Additional Central Assistance (ACA) for taking up various development programmes in the State during the period 2012-13 .
From the total amount of Rs 450 crores, which has been included under the Special Plan Assistance (SPA) for this fiscal year, an amount of Rs 168.30 crores is for the projects currently underway and Rs 281.97 crores for new projects, the source said.
The source also stated that the total amount of fund available in the State account for the year 2007-2012 is Rs 740.40 crores.
From this amount, a sum of Rs 241.84 crores has been earmarked for PWD; Rs 88.16 crores for Power Department; Rs 73.59 crores for Health department; Rs 62.07 crores for Tribal Affairs and Hills; Rs 48.84 crores for Planning Department; Rs 44.50 crores for Minor Irrigation; Rs 36.86 crores for Home Department; Rs 25.68 crores for IFCD; Rs 22.26 crores for PHED; Rs 18.16 crores for YAS; Rs 8.15 crores for Sericulture; Rs 7.90 crores for MAHUD; Rs 6.80 crores for IT; Rs 7.28 crores for Education Department; Rs 6.30 crores for CAF & PD and Rs 5.54 crores for School Education.
