State lass Bijaya Lakhsmi Devi Nongmaithem has been adjudged winner in the three-minute thesis competition of Southern Cross University, South Wales, Australia.
In this competition, every research fellow had to present their PhD thesis within three minutes.

Bijaya Lakhsmi, who took part in the competition with her topic, 'Can whelks contribute to food security and human health?' also received the people's choice award of the competition.
She is research fellow under Dr Kirsten Benkendorff of the varsity in Australia.
Bijaya Lakhsmi is the daughter of Dr Nongmaithem Birendra Singh and N (o) Hijam Joymati Devi of Tera Sapam Leirak.
