State BJP predicts pitched battle with Congress

Election to the six Autonomous District Councils of Manipur sche-duled on May 30 would wit- ness pitched political battles between Congress and BJP.
This was stated by none other than BJP Manipur Pra-desh president Th Chaoba.
who attended two political awareness camps cum mega enrolment programmes held today at YPA Hall, Chura-chandpur and INA Hall Moirang under the aegis of BJP Churachandpur district and BJP Moirang Mandal respectively.
Chaoba stated that the ADC election would be a big battle ground between ruling Congress party and BJP which is in power at the Centre.
He appealed to all the electorates of Manipur to elect BJP to power if they believe in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his efforts to bring about corruption-free and transparent governance in all the North Eastern States including Manipur.
Congress party secured landslide victory in the previous ADC and State Assembly elections not because people voted freely in favour of Congress candidates but on account of taking recourse to muscle power, money power and manipulation of EVMs.

As the Congress party was elected to power with votes purchased by money, the Congress Government has been misappropriating all the money sanctioned for development projects thereby keeping the people in a state of misery, Chaoba asserted.
Questioning the utility of Khuga Multipurpose Project which was inaugurated by AICC president Sonia Gandhi, the former Union Minis- ter asserted that the Khuga Dam from which the people of Churachandpur expected a lot has turned out to be a miserable failure.
A large amount of money sanctioned for construction of Khuga Dam was already swindled.
Several corruption cases and scandals involving a number of Congress leaders are being investigated.
It is only a matter of time before all the dirty facts are exposed.
BJP would field its candidates in all the 24 ADC seats of Churachandpur.
In case BJP is elected to power, the party can guarantee speedy development and meaningful devolution of powers to ADCs, Chaoba asserted.
Former Deputy Speaker TT Haokip said that many Congress Ministers and MLAs have become millionaires during the past 13 years even though there was little development in the State.
The Government which could not give potable water to Churachandpur town should be shown the door.
Saying that he has joined BJP, retired IAS P Saratchandra claimed that he joined electoral politics to do away with the practices of corruption, self-centrism, manipulation of laws, human rights violation and all kinds of exploitation.
BJP general secretary (administration) M Ashnikumar called upon the people of Churachandpur district to take the first step towards bringing a political revolution in Manipur.
