ZUF, HJDAC to commemorate 93rd martyrdom of Haipou Jadonang

Haipou Jadonang Death Anniversary Committee (HJDAC) is going to observe the 93th death anniversary of freedom fighter Haipou Jadonang at Haipou Jadonahg Memorial Park Keishampat, Imphal on August 29 at 7:30 AM under the aegis of Zeliangrong Union (AMN) .
In a release, HJDAC informed that due to the present unconducive environment in the State, there will be no mega public function like previous years, the Committee will arrange for the necessary things needed for the dignitaries, community leaders, who want to pay floral tribute and homage to the departed leader from morning to evening.
On this martyrs day, Zeliangrong Union Imphal Zone and DMU Zeiiangrongpui Students Union, Imphal will also be jointly organising a blood donation programme at Regional Institute of Medical Science (RIMS), Imphal.
The HJDAC has also expressed its appreciation to the Khoupum Football Friendship (KFF) Association and Nungba Luangreang Chamc Nac Phwam, Imphal for their valuable service to clean up the memorial park.
Further, the HJDAC appealed to all the people of Manipur to fight candles at dusk in their respective houses on this day to pay homage to the leader.
Meanwhile, the Government of the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has appeal to all Zeliangrong people residing in Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, and beyond to come together in a concerted effort to commemorate the 93rd martyrdom of the legendary Haipou Jadonang on August 29 .
In a release, ZUF said that this day marks a significant milestone in the collective history, a testament to the unwavering dedication and sacrifice of the beloved leader.
The ZUF asserted that Haipou Jadonang's legacy is a beacon of inspiration, guiding everyone towards a future built on the principles of unity, courage, and resilience.
"His selfless struggle for our people's rights and dignity continues to resonate deeply within our hearts.
As we gather to honor his memory, we reaffirm our commitment to upholding the values he embodied", it added.
The ZUF urged all to observe this solemn occasion with utmost respect and solidarity, honoring the indomitable spirit of Naga Raj, Haipou Jadonang.
"To demonstrate our unity and reverence, we request the closure of traditional village gates, centers, and all recognized or private institutions, offices, business establishments, and more across Assam, Manipur, and Nagaland.
Let us stand together, united in our grief and our resolve", it added.
The ZUF also appealed to the public to participate in a mass observance of this special day, which will be marked by paying tribute to Haipou Jadonang's life and legacy, traditional games and sports, celebrating the shared heritage and cultural identity, fighting candles at 6:00 PM in every Zeliangrong household, symbolizing the light of unity and hope.
"May his martyrdom inspire us to strive for a brighter future, built on the foundations of peace, justice, and equality", ZUF concluded.
