Final round of training for polling personnel concludes

In connection with the ensuing 18th Lok Sabha Elections, 2024, the District Election Office, Bishnupur has successfully concluded its third and final round of training for all the appointed Presiding officers, PO-1, PO-2, and PO-3 today.
Altogether, 1183 polling personnel attended the two-day training program which was aimed at familiarization of polling materials, EVM and WPAT handling, poll process, and use of mobile applications- Poll Star App, E-Traccar App, E-Atlas and Webcasting equipment.
The training was conducted under the overall in charge of S Indrajit Singh, MCS, ARO Nambol AC and Oinam AC; Rishikanta Loitongbam, MCS, ARO Bishnupur AC and designated ARO Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency; M Suranjoy Singh, MCS, ARO Moirang AC, and Kumbi AC; Bhungba Maibam Khuman, MCS, Designated ARO Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency and M Ricky Singh, Jr.

Meanwhile, the District Election Officer,, Bishnupur has notified all the contesting candidates/their election agents and political, parties functioning in the district that the strong rooms of 6 Assembly Segments and Special Polling Stations falling under Bishnupur district located at Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur will be opened from 6.00 am of April 18, 2024 for taking out EVMs and VVPATs for dispatch to polling stations and, will be closed after poll.
The DEO further notified regarding the announcement of dry day, prohibition for use of loudspeakers, restriction on the presence of political functionaries in a constituency, and restriction, on publication and dissemination of results of exit polls in respect of Bishnupur district from 4.00 pm of April 17, 2024 till the completion of the poll.
