Informing that a 14 year old school going girl from Viewland Colony of Senapati district was raped and thrown out at a location in Senapati district in the night of August 1, 2017, LNGM president Th Prescilla decried that the Government and the authorities concerned go on playing delaying tactics in deli vering justice by giving assurances to arrest the culprit.
She alleged that one Kh Kasinba (50) of Karungmuan (Nungtek), Noney district was the accused in the case and went on to convey that the accused had been declared/proclaimed as "wanted person" by State Home Department on September 11 this year.
Although the Chief Minister assured of arresting the culprit and award befitting punishment accord ing to law during a meeting with the representatives of several CSOs and women's organizations at his office during the first week of September, no progress is seen yet, Prescilla lamented.
She warned that more intensified forms of agitation will follow the total shutdown of November 27 if the Government fails to arrest the culprit.
