Imphal, October 16 2009:
The three students' bodies spearheading the class boycott stir - AMSU, MSF, and KSA - have warned to ban the activities of the All Manipur Students Guardians' Organisation if the Organisation fails to tender apology through the media within three days on the 'anti-people' speech delivered by some speakers of the guardians' party who spoke at the guardians meeting on October 14 .
A joint statement issued by the three students' bodies also held that the organisers of the meeting will be held responsible for the 'anti-people' speeches by some guardians.
The statement observed the guardians were clustered into four sections at the meeting - the All Manipur Government Recognised Private Schools' Association; guardians from some schools that have relations with the government; some guardians who are against the agitation of the people; and guardians who did not consider other children as their own.
The statement lauded the speeches of some guardians who spoke with knowledge of the ongoing agitations.
It added that the speaker who said that the students are used as instrument to further the agitation did not know the distance between A and B.Stating that it is universal truth that students' bodies are using the students as mechanism to further their cause, the statement rhetorically asked whether it is not the guardians' association using the guardians as an instrument. It reminded that the class boycott agitation will continue till the demands of the Apunba Lup are achieved.
The students' bodies have no objection to make education a free zone and the bodies have participated in a movement to make it a free zone.
Did anyone like to make education a free zone while the rest of the space is turned into a killing zone.
Stating that the agitation of the media fraternity is justified, the students' bodies urged all organisations of the state to openly support the decision of AMWJU.
