Medical services provided to displaced families

To provide much-needed medical services to displaced families, Wangkhem Youth organised a health camp at Yairipok Top Chingtha Khunou Primary School relief camp today along with distribution of medicines free of cost.
Speaking in this connection, Manitomba, advisor, Wangkhem Youth stated that the organisation has been consistently providing relief in the form of essential items and health camps to the displaced families seeking shelter in various relief camps scattered across the State.
Today's health camp has been conducted with the help of doctors from Thoubal district and other like-minded youths, he said.
It is worth noting that the Yairipok Top Chingtha Khunou Primary School relief camp was set up by Nongpok Ningthou Youth Association and currently 170 persons hailing from Etham, Moirangpurel, Keithelmanbi, Nungbrang, Ngamukhong and Chandrakhong etc are being sheltered here.
Manitomba added that Wangkhem Youth has conducted similar health camps at Sugnu Bazar, Wapokpi, Tangjeng, Yambem, Top-chingtha, Laimanai and Thoubal Athokpam.
Further, they have donated lentils, rice, potable water, first aid kits and other medicines to several relief camps, he said.
On the other hand, Nongpok Ningthou Youth Association has extended gratitude to everyone who showed up at the camp to extend their help.
Further, the Association has appealed to people to continue extending their helping hand.
