International Epilepsy Day observed

The International Epilepsy Day was
observed today at Female
Health Worker training hall,
RD campus, Lamphel.
The event was jointly or-
ganised by Female Health
Worker Training School,
Govt of Manipur; Trained
Nurses Association of In-
dia, Manipur State Branch;
National Alliance for Elders'
People Livelihood; Research
Advocacy and Chronic Dis-
eases of India and ARDSI,
Manipur Chapter.

Shantibala Devi, VC and
scientific chief patron,
NAEPLRA Chronic Dis-
eases of India and ARDSI,
Imphal; K Sunita Devi, prin-

Nandarani Devi, president of
TNAI, Imphal attended the
programme as the presidium
members.
Speakers of the pro-
gramme said that epilepsy is
a common medical disorder
which is common among
elderly citizens.
They said
that epilepsy is a neurologi-
cal disorder characterised by
the tendency to have recur-
rent seizures.
They also dwelt on ways
to take care of people who
are living with epilepsy .
