Add-on course on Wetland Studies and Management introduced

Bishnupur, August 17 2024: Considering the importance of safeguarding the wetlands and inspired by the concept of Green Skill Development, an add-on course on "Wetland Studies and Management" was introduced at Mangolnganbi College today.

For the first time, the Directorate of Environment & Climate Change came together with Mangolnganbi College to launch the aforementioned course at the College today.

The launching programme was graced by Dr Kh Shamungou, Chairman Technical Committee, Manipur State Wetland Authority; Dr T Brajakumar Singh, Director, Directorate of Environment & Climate Change; P Kumar Singh, retd Professor Dept of Life Science, Manipur University and K Jugeshore Singh, retd Principal, Kumbi College as the presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr T Brajakumar Singh shared that the addon course was introduced under the direction of the Government of India.

Further, he assured that similar courses will be introduced in the colleges located in the periphery of wetlands in the State.
