Imphal, July 30 2010:
Pointing out that the deadline set for non-Manipuris to leave had expired on May 31, 2010, the proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has categorically stated that it would not bear responsibility for any untoward incident that may happen to non-Manipuris including those working as secret agents.
A statement issued by the outfit's Publicity Secretary T Leisemba said that any local people encountering similar untoward incidents for harbouring or associating with non-Manipuris should be held responsible for their fate.
As for non-Manipuris who came to Manipur before October 15, 1949, they should furnish a list of their families together with the dates on which they entered Manipur on or before October 14, 2010 to RPF Bureau I and II for registration.
After this period, any non-local people found residing in Manipur without being registered would face legal action of the outfit.
Since the very day, PLA took birth on the soil of Manipur, it has been the outfit's duty to eliminate all enemy agents.
Saying that these agents have been helping security forces in CI ops thereby impeding the liberation movement, the outfit accused those non-local agents of polluting the social atmosphere of Manipur.
To save the future generations and the society, it is imperative to drive out those non-local who have been making their homes in Manipur.
The RPF had served the quit notice on all non-locals earlier.
