Imphal, August 29 2022: Dr Lorho S Pfoze, Lok Sabha MP, Outer Manipur Constituency, launched Pakhangba Dubbing and Distribution Corporation (PDDC) during the 18th Film Forum Foundation Day Celebration 2022 at the auditorium of Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) today.

According to a press release, PDDC was launched under the aegis of Film Forum Manipur (FFM) and Cloud Entertainment Network Pvt Ltd.

Dignitaries present at the event include Dr Lorho S Pfoze, Laimayum Surjakanta Sharma, chairman, Film Forum Manipur and Sanju Bachaspatimayum, secretary, MSFDS and Mayanglambam Khelendro, advisor, PDDC as the chief guest, functional president and guests of honour respectively.

The primary goal of the PDDC is to increase the market for Manipuri films by dubbing them into other regional languages of India and international languages, the statement added.

The PDDC will provide opportunities for dubbed movies to earn more by providing an alternative source of income from their film.

It shared that dubbing will draw in more viewers from domestic and international markets and dubbing Manipuri films can increase their demand.

Lastly, the statement stressed that PDDC will focus on dubbing tribal languages into Manipuri and other regional languages of India and foreign languages.
