Imphal, June 11:
In protest against monetary demand from KRA, Pangei Bazar remained shut down for the day and shop-keepers, women vendors and local Meira Paibis jointly staged a Wakat Meepham today.
The protestors demanded withdrawal of the monetary demand.
The Wakat Meepham was staged from 9 am to 5 pm.
Talking to mediapersons, the protestors informed that apart from serving demand notes signed by finance secretary of KRA to all the shop-keepers, the outfit had also demanded money from women vegetable sellers and other vendors of the market.
