Mao Council organises commemoration cum thanksgiving programme

Senapati, August 04 2019: The Mao Council under the presidentship of Peter Khrasi has organised Commemoration cum Thanksgiving programme at Tadubi Town Hall on Saturday under the theme "My grace is sufficient for thee".

Church leaders, student leaders, religious leaders and the public of Mao community gathered on the occasion.

Dr Lorho S Pfoze, MP, II Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency; L Dikho, Minister, PHED, Printing & Stationery, GoM; N Kayisii, Minister, Tribal & Hills Development and Fisheries; and A Kapani, Chairman, ADC, Senapati enthralled the gathering with words of gratitude, thanksgiving and encouragement to the community.

Peter Khrasi, president, Mao Council in his welcome note said that God had blessed not only politically and socially but in all sectors like business, education, economic and in different fields and added that it's a blessing from the great great grand parents of the tribe particularly the Mao though they are small in community comparatively.

The president urged the congregation to be more humble and serve the people for better living.

N Kapani, chairman ADC in the Thanksgiving message said that a blessing to the community is manifold and the people of the region should not forget the Creator.

L Dikho, Minister, PHED, Printing and Stationery urged the congregation to go for the truth putting God first in everything.

He also appreciated the Mao Council for bringing all the people of Mao community in such manner calling it as God's plan to have elected 1 MP, 2 Ministers and ADC Chairman from the community.

N Kayisii, Minister, Tribal & Hill Areas Development and Fisheries said that they are so blessed with so many well learned and well educated leaders in the society.

Thanking God for this plan and arrangement, the TD Minister urged the people to pray more for the betterment of the society and the well being of people for better living to bring peace and harmony in the region by showing their good example to the people.

Dr Lorho S Pfoze, MP, II OMPC, elaborated the theme of the programme "My grace is sufficient for thee" where he asked the people to be thankful.

The MP also urged the people of the region to extend their services for the betterment of all irrespective of tribes, class and caste through their good work where the MP looks forward in future for further cooperation, love and participation from the community for better tomorrow.
