Relief materials donated to flood and conflict victims

A 12-member team of Patriotic Writers Forum (PAWF) Manipur led by secretary Rakesh Naorem has extended relief materials to the flood affected Meiteis sheltering at Radhamandav Relief Camp, Radhanagar, Tripura.
A statement issued by PAWF, Manipur has urged people to extend help and support to the relief camp inmates in their time of need.
PAWF also hailed the Committee operating the relief camp for their excellent work in taking care of the inmates.
The team also donated relief materials to the other inmates of the relief camp.
Meanwhile, Manipuri In Kolkata (MIK) has donated a 2-month supply of milk powder, sanitary pads, potable water, notebooks, geometry box and lamps for the conflict survivors scattered across many relief camps in Jiribam district.

The items were distributed at the relief camps located at Harinagar, Bidyanagar and Jiribam Higher Secondary School and handed over by Sagapam Ibotombi Singh, OC, Jiribam police station.
The relief camp inmates have extended gratitude and appreciation towards MIK and the Jiribam police station OC.
BJP Wangjing Tentha Mandal has also donated essential items to eighty flood-affected people currently seeking shelter at Tekcham Primary School.
The relief initiative was carried out under the supervision of Paonam Brojen Singh, MLA Wangjing Tentha AC.
All Tekcham United Club Organisation is currently looking after the flood-affected people at the school.
The team was led by O Sunilkumar Singh, president, BJP Wangjing Tentha Mandal and accompanied by Th Brajakishore, general secretary; M Kanta, secretary; S Jayedeba, PRO, executive members H Biren, H Ibochou, Ng Surjit, S Dilip, U Sanahanbi, U Romila and others.
Speaking in this connection, Soibam Devan, organiser, All Tekcham United Club Organisation lauded and expressed gratitude to the MLA for extending help to the public during Covid, the ongoing conflict as well as the recent floods.
Meanwhile, O Sunilkumar said that the recent heavy rainfall caused flooding in many parts of Wangjing Tentha AC and river embankments were breached in many areas.
As many families have shifted to relief camps due to their homes being inundated, MLA Paonam Brojen has provided essential items for the affected victims and will continue to extend such aid in the future, he added.
Snacks were also distributed to the children at the relief camp.
