Kangpokpi, November 17 2019: The biggest ever Mission Conference of Kuki Baptist Convention prayed for lasting peace and harmony in the State and peaceful co-existence among different communities on the last day of its four days long conference at Kangpokpi DHQs today.

The Mission Conference 2019 organized by Mission Board, Kuki Baptist Convention (KBC) and hosted by KBC Centre Church Kangpokpi was conducted under the theme, "Come over and help us", based on Gospel Acts 16:9 to call on the missionaries and evangelist under Kuki Baptist Convention working in the state and outside and abroad and also encourage young generation into the services of God's ministry.

In a workshop seminar during day session on the closing day, Paotinmang Doungel (IPS) ADGP, GoM spoke on the topic 'Government servant as God's servant' while Dr Seiboi Singsit (IFS) (Retd), former PCCF and Head of Forest Force and also former Chairman of MPSC spoke on the topic 'Leaders' role in Mission.

Individual donors for the success of the conference were also recognized with presentation during the day session event before flag de-hoisting ceremony was performed by Jamlal Zou, Vice President KBC ahead of the night service.

Speaking on the sideline of the event, Rev Henjalen Doungel, Coordinator of the Mission Conference said that the Mission Conference aims to motivate the Christian community in particular and all community in general irrespective of religion, caste and creed to live together with an attitude of oneness by bringing in long lasting peace and harmony.

He also said that thousands of people including Missionaries, Evangelists, Reverend, Pastors, etc across the state and other parts of the country and abroad who come together in the conference pray honestly for the people of Manipur and lasting peace and harmony in the state as we joyously culminated the event today.

He further said that Kuki Baptist Convention has been playing a vital role in bringing peace and harmony in the state in collaboration with the State Govt till today while it also joined hands with the Government in fighting against drugs menace in the society.

The Conference coordinator also thanked everyone for their valuable contribution in various forms for the success of the historic Mission Conference.

Rev Dr Kh Khaizakham and Rev Dr HM Songate are the main speakers of the conference.

Meanwhile, Rev Dr Thongkhosei Haokip, General Secretary, KBC; Rev Letlal Haokip, Liaison Officer, KBC North; Rev Mangneo Haokip, Pioneer, YWAM Tripura; Lhingboi Kipgen, Women Secretary, MBC; Seiboi Singsit, IFS Retd Ex-PCCF and former Chairman MPSC; DP Haokip, IRS, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Indore; P Doungel, IPS, ADGP, Govt of Manipur and Lamkhoneng Haokip, former Women President KBC were the resource persons during the conference.

Apart from MLA Ngamthang Haokip, other elected representatives of District Councils, bureaucrats, well wishers, church leaders, etc also took part in the closing ceremony.
