DMUTA raises demand

Imphal, July 16 2022:
All existing teachers of the five constituent colleges of Dhanamanjuri University including utilized teachers and principals have demanded for compulsory absorption as faculty of DMU and principals respectively by a single order latest by July 20 .
As per a statement, the resolution to raise this demand was made during an emergency general body meeting of Dhanamanjuri University Teachers' Association (DMUTA), Imphal held at the Central Hall of DM College of Science today.
The meeting also demanded that the absorption should come with full protection of pay, service and continuity of pensionable services upto retirement.
Failing to meet this deadline will cause DMUTA to launch democratic forms of agitations, the statement cuationed.
Further, it advised against victimization of any teacher of the constituent colleges in the form of transfer or intimidation or repartriation.
It may be noted that the meeting was organised to discuss the notice of the Government with regards to bifurcation of posts (teaching and non-teaching) for DMU and the option for absorption in DMU as well as the modalities for implementing the exercise of bifurcation of 600 posts along with the manpower of five constituent olleges of DMU from the administrative control of Directorate of University & Higher Education, among other things.
