DG NCC visits NCC Group Imphal

Imphal, September 07 2024: Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh, Param Vishisht Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal, Director General NCC accompanied by Major General Gagan Deep, Additional Director General NCC North Eastern Region visited NCC Group Imphal and Units of Manipur on September 6 and 7, 2024 .

During the visit, Brigadier SR Sharma, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal, Group Commander NCC Group Imphal briefed the DG NCC on security, training and administrative aspects, said a release issued by NCC.

The DG NCC appreciated efforts put in by NCC Group Imphal and Units of Manipur in conduct of NCC training and grooming of youth of Manipur.

Road map for NCC training across 16 districts of Manipur was the focal point of the discussion.

Key issues including expansion of NCC and establishment of NCC Training Academy in Manipur were also deliberated. The DG appreciated the efforts of NCC in Manipur in engaging youth under challenging circumstances.

The DG also urged all the ranks and cadets to live upto the NCC motto of "Unity and Discipline" .

A few meritorious ANOS, staff and cadets were also felicitated by the DG NCC.
