Imphal, November 27 2024: Twelve from Manipur have been selected for the BSA National Award-2024 conferred to distinguished individuals by Bahujana Sahitya Academy (National Committee of India).

According to a release issued by Dr Phanjoubam Lanajit Singh, president BSA Manipur, Thiyam Ibomcha Singh has been selected for the Kala Ratna National Award 2024.Konthoujam Kuno Singh, Kakchingtabam Sumati Devi, Shanglakpam Ibechaobi Devi and Huirem Inaobi Singh have been selected for the Lifetime Achievement National Award 2024 .

Brahmacharimayum Bhabini Devi, Laimayum Subharani Devi, Lamabam Birendra Singh, Dr O Usharani Singha and Kongrailatpam Gangarani Devi have been selected for the Sahitya Ratna National Award 2024 .

Yumnam Seityabarta Singh and Wangkheirakpam Shreeman Singh have also been selected for the Seva Ratna National Award 2024 .

The awards will be presented during the Bahujana Writer's 17th National Conference scheduled to be held at Godavari Auditorium, New Delhi on December 15, 2024 .

Meanwhile, Dr Phanjoubam Lanajit Singh, chairman of Celin Digital, has informed that Celin Digital will be organising candle lighting and protest demonstrations at Lodhi Road in New Delhi during the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament.

The demonstrations will be held to protest the failure of the State and Central Government to end the ongoing conflict and restore peace & normalcy in Manipur even after 18 months.

Members of Celin Digital will depart Imphal in the first week of December to organise the event.
