Relief materials provided to flood affected people, health camp conducted

Many continue to extend humanitarian aid to the people affected by the devastating flood which left a trail of destruction in many districts of the State.
Today, the Chanura Microfin Manipur in collaboration with Friends of Women World Banking (FWWB), India launched a relief distribution drive from its Central Office located at Hodam Leirak Machin, opposite Tiddim Oil Pump, Imphal West.
The relief distribution drive will render support to client's families of Chanura affected by the recent hailstorm and flood triggered by Cyclone Rental.
The distribution of relief materials will continue for some days in different affected location such as Khurai, Wangkhei, Thangmeiband, Uripok, Singjamei, Sagolband, Taobungkhok, Patsoi, Keishamthong, Langthabal, Naoriya Pakhang Lakpa, Lamboikhongngangkhong, Bamon Leikai, Kiyamgei, Chajing and Thongju, covering around 300 families.
Relief materials including 30 kg of local rice, 2 litre of edible oil (Mustard Oil), 3 kg of dal and 2 packets of 1 kg salt will be provided to each family.
Moreover, prominent members of the Bharat Vikas Parishad, Manipur also distributed relief materials like water storage tanks to the worst flood affected households whose houses were completely destroyed by Cyclone Rental.
Relief items were provided to 7 households in Awang Leikinthabi Shantipur and 2 households in Khonghampat of Imphal West district.
The relief materials were handed over to the affected family members by Dr Sinam Rajendra Singh, patron, BVP; Dr Moirangthem Premjit Singh, president NE Region; Dr Hemam Priyosakhi Devi, former Director of RIMS Hospital, Imphal and Heisnam Balkrisna Singh, Director of Fisheries, Manipur.
Meanwhile, Kripadashini Advanced Hospital, Palace Compound in collaboration with the family of Thokchom Doren Singh conducted a Mega Free Health Camp at Moirang Palli Community Hall in Khangabok, Thoubal district today.
A team of experts from various departments of Kripadashini Advanced Hospital including ENT, Surgery, Medicine, Gynaecology, Orthopedics and Dental provided free medical examination & consultation to about 300 persons during the camp.
Free medicines were also provided to the patients.
The team from Kripadashini Advanced Hospital also conducted free health check-ups at relief camps.
The team also provided free medicines and essential items to the conflict survivors taking shelter at the relief camps.
