Medical camp held, drinking water distributed

Thoubal, July 23 2017:
Mother’s Care Children Hospital and Research Centre, Sagolband Moirang Leirak and Manipur Heart Institute jointly organised a free medical camp for the flood affected children of Tentha, Thoubal at the multiplex in Tentha Khongbal today .
As a part of the camp, mineral water bottles were also distributed, reports our correspondent .
Speaking to our correspondent, Managing Director of Mother’s Care Children Hospital and Research Centre Dr Ratankumar stated that the camp was organised to ease the hardship of the flood affected people especially children and also to spread awareness among the parents on the possibilities of water borne epidemic in the area and how to prevent it .
The people of Tentha lauded Dr Ratankumar for talking up the initiative .
A total of 250 children took part in the camp where medicines were distributed free of cost.
During the camp, volunteers of Mother’s Care Children Hospital and Research Centre distributed mineral water bottles to every households of the flood affected areas of Tentha .
Meanwhile, Paediatrics Association of Manipur under the guidance of Mother’s Care Children Hospital and Research Centre began an ORS week programme under the theme “ORS Only Rational Solution” at Tentha today .
CHC, Heirok along with Block Health Society, Thoubal block organised a ‘Reproductive and Child Health’ camp at the same venue.
MO of CHC, Heirok along with its staff attended to 200 people and medicines were also distributed for free.
