Imphal, January 27 2021: The 72nd Republic Day of India was celebrated across the State in all its grandeur and ceremonial splendour with all necessary safety guidelines for COVID-19 protection like maintaining social distance and wearing face masks, yesterday.

Churachandpur
Joining with the rest of the country, the District Administration, Churachandpur celebrated the 72nd Republic Day at Tuibong Peace Ground, Churachandpur yesterday.

Deputy Commissioner of Churachandpur, PawanYadav unfurled the National Tricolour flag and took salute of the marching contingents from 5 Parade Contingents led by S Bijoy Kumar, MPS, SDPO Churachandpur, comprising of BSF, Civil Police and 1st IRB Band Party.

Presentation of awards to outstanding Government employees and march past contingents marked the occasion.

Dignitaries attending the event included SP Churachandpur, Amrita Sinha; DLOs and CSO leaders.

Chandel
The 72nd Republic Day was also celebrated at Chandel, Mini secretariat, DC complex yesterday.

The celebration began with the parade inspection and unfurling of the National Flag with Rashtriya salute by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chandel Ksh Siddharth.

The celebration was attended by SP chandel; CO 8MR; CO 18AR; DLOs, officials and staff.

The parade was commanded by Shankarjit singh Leitungbam, MPS.

Bishnupur
The District Administration, Bishnupur also celebrated the 72nd Republic Day at the Mini Secretariat, Bishnupur, with Neeta Arambam, Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, as the chief guest.

As a part of the celebration, cultural programmes were presented by various departments of the district and 73 officers were feted for their exemplary work in their respective fields.

The function was attended by MLA Oinam AC, L Radhakishore and DLOs of the district.

Tamenglong
72nd Republic Day celebration was also organised by the District administration, Tamenlong at Jadonang Park, Tamenglong Headquarters.

Armstrong Pame, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Tamenlong, the chief guest of the celebration unfurled the National flag and took salute from the marching contingents of civil police and 5th MR, Tamenglong.

As a part of the programme, 44 officers of Tamenglong District administration were feted.

Similar celebrations were also observed in the outlying sub-divisional headquarters of Tamenglong district.

District Level Officers of Tamenglong, ward/chairman secretaries and students also attended the Republic Day celebration.

Senapati
Similarly, the District Administration, Senapati also celebrated the 72nd Republic Day at the District headquarters Senapati, conforming to all the SOPs mandated by the State Government.

The Chief guest of the function, Th Kirankumar, Deputy Commissioner, IAS, Senapati, unfurled the National flag and took salute of the marching contingent of Manipur Police and IRB, led by Ingawale Pravin Dadaso, IPS, SDPO, Senapati.

The 72nd Republic Day was also celebrated in all 6 sub-divisional headquarters of the district.

Tengnoupal
In Tengnoupal, the Republic Day celebration was held at Tengnoupal Government High School ground, organised by District Administration, Tengnoupal and attended by Mayanglambam Rajkumar, Deputy Commissioner of Tengnoupal as the chief guest.

As a part of the program, the District administration presented appreciation certificates to staff of various departments acknowledging their work and gifted red blankets to many CSOs and village chiefs.

Kangpokpi
District Administration, Kangpokpi organised the Republic Day at the office premise of Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi attended by Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi, Somorjit Salam, IAS and Additional SP (Ops), Lalminlen Misao, MPS as the presidium members.

Sony G Sang, MPS, DSP Kangpokpi led the march-past contingents which included personnel of Kangpokpi police, VDF, school students, ASHA Workers and ICDS.

As a part of the programme, Khulkon cultural Troupe, Vengthah Kangpokpi Ward No 3 and Nepali cultural troupe performed cultural dance.

Moreh
In Moreh, the Republic Day celebration was held at the complex of ADC Moreh, organised by Additional Deputy Commissioner Moreh with SDO Irengbam Dinesh Kumar as the chief guest.

The event was also attended by SDPO of Moreh Police L Meghavarna, OC Dilip Kumar along with other officials.

Pherzawl
Pherzawl District Administration celebrated the 72nd Republic Day with pomp and ceremonial splendour at DC Office Complex, Pherzawl district headquarters.

Deputy Commissioner of the district, Mannuamching hoisted the National flag and took salute as the Chief guest.

Presentation of colourful cultural items, presentation of awards and citations to outstanding government employees, social workers and youth clubs marked the occasion apart.

Dignitaries attending the event included Thienlaljoy Gangte, ADC, David Piaklian, SP, DLOs, Chief of villages and CSO leaders.

Kakching
The District Administration, Kakching also celebrated Republic Day at District Sports Association (DSA), Kakching playground.

Deputy Commissioner Kakching, Kengoo Zuringla, IAS hoisted the National flag as the Chief guest.

Additional SP (LO), Kakching, MPS, Tungda Yumnam Joyraj commanded the marching contingents of Police, Home guard, NCC and Assam Rifles Band Party.

SP Kakching, Victoria Yengkhom, Kakching Municipal Council Chairpersons, Kakching district UP Adhakshya, Councillors, Pradhans and DLOs also attended the celebration.

Thoubal
Republic Day was also celebrated at DC Complex Thoubal by District Administration, Thoubal with Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal N Bandana hoisting the National flag as the chief guest of the function.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thoubal, A Khelendro commanded the 6 marching contingents.

The programme was also attended by SP Thoubal, Dr S Ibomcha, District Police Thoubal officers, Panchayati Raj members and staff of various departments in the district.
