Clean Senapati campaign launched

Acleanliness campaign titled 'Clean Senapati' on the theme 'Your Senapati Keep it Clean' was launched today at Senapati traffic point by Senapati District Baptist Association Fellowship (SDBAF) and Senapati Karong Area Baptist Union (SKABU).
Rev Dr P James, convener SDBAF in his address shared the concept of Clean Senapati campaign and stated that it was initially conceived as an outcome of the 'Holy Land Tour' in 2018 .
Though the idea was already there, it could not be materialized earlier due to Other engagements and commitments, he said.
Rev Dr P James expressed confidence that this initiative will yield positive results where the churches will also be contributing in keeping the Senapati town clean and healthy, which will be a realization of the social responsibility of the churches.
Highlighting that cleanliness is next to godliness, he maintained that keeping the environment clean is a step towards building a healthy relationship with the mother earth.
On behalf of SDBAF, he expressed gratitude to MLA of 48 Mao Assembly Constituency Losii Dikho, for having sponsored the four Associations' Administrative Staff to 'Holy Land Tour' where they had the privilege the see the Holy Land, which added strength and authenticity to their spiritual life and Biblical worldview by visiting three countries namely Jordan, Israel and Egypt.
He said keeping the environment clean and hygienic is not only a social concern, but is a spiritual concern also.
Rev Dr P James also stressed on the importance of raising mass public awareness on cleanliness and healthy living to inculcate a sense of responsibility among the masses.
Notably, hundreds of members from 30 churches joined the cleanliness drive in the District Headquarters by forming different groups for different locations.
This cleanliness drive would continue till the end of this month where social work will be conducted by 30 churches every two days.
The launching programme was led by Rev Cheijinba Rakhangmi secretary SDBAF while invocation prayer was pronounced by Rev Paul Inpui, vice president SKABU and closing prayer proposed by Rev K Daniel, president SKABU .
