AMCTA announces series of agitation

The meeting of extended committee of All Manipur College Teachers' Association (AMCTA) held today at Modern College resolved not to extend co-operation to the newly appointed Principals.
According to a statement issued by the joint secretary of AMCTA, the meeting also resolved to put black badge while attending classes on November 26 and 27, to undertake Half Day Chalk Down Strike from November 28.The meeting also resolved to stage a sit-in protest on December 1 and boycott the Semester Examination starting from December 4 .
The Association have no plans to suspend or call off the agitation until the State Government fulfil their demands, the statement said.
The statement also warned of rigorous agitation in case the State Government sends out a fresh notification for recruiting new principal(s).
These steps were decided after the expiry of the ultimatum given by the teachers' body to the Govt.
