Stating that use of muscle and money power in elections will not bring peace and development in the society, he said, "we need to play the value base and non-violent politics for long lasting solutions" .

It may be mentioned that Union Minister of State Dr RK Ranjan was unable to attend the event today at Noney due to certain unforeseen circumstances.

SENAPATI
An election campaign for Francis Ngajokpa, NPF candidate in 49-Tadubi (ST) AC was organised on Friday at Bendramai village with TR Zeliang, chairman UDA as special guest.

Awangbow Newmai, president NPF Manipur State Unit; Apong Pongener, working president NPF (Central); Achumbemo Kikon, secretary general NPF (Central); social leaders of Maram and village authorities of the area also attended the event.

Speaking on the occasion, K Raina, former Deputy Speaker and vice president of NPF Manipur State Unit stated that his presence has proved the decision of Maram community to unitedly support anyone who is awarded the party ticket.

Urging the people not to believe fake propaganda, he announced that special preference will be given to interior Zeliang and Kuki areas if NPF candidates are elected as decided in the last Maram Union meeting.

Stating that the NPF ticket was awarded to Francis Ngajokpa out of the 3 intending candidates, Awangbow Newmai lauded K Raina for coming forward to work together with the party candidate for Tadubi AC. Francis Ngajokpa expressed his gratitude to the people for their continuous support and announced that if he is elected he would focus on development and employment generation in the Zeliang region.

A similar campaign for Losii Dikho, NPF candidate in 48 Mao (ST) AC was held at Shajouba Village Football Ground, Senapati District.

It was attended by Dr Shiirhozelie, former Nagaland CM and president of Central NPF; Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha (Outer Manipur), Dr Lorho S Pfoze; and Kuzholuzo Nienu, Nagaland MLA, among others.

At the event, Minister Losii Dikho stressed on the importance of forming the Government with BJP where NPF can be the kingmaker and usher tremendous changes in Manipur.

"With the past outstanding performance, the BJP Government under the leadership of CM N Biren Singh has invited NPF party to be partners in these coming elections too", he claimed.

He also urged the Naga people of Manipur to support the NPF party which can play a vital role in the election and form the Government.
