2nd Faculty Induction Programme kicks off at CoA

A week-long Faculty Induction Programme for newly recruited faculties and scientists of all the constituent colleges of Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal kicked off today at the Conference Hall of College of Agriculture (CoA), Iroisemba, CAU, Imphal.
The 2nd Faculty Induction Programme is being organised by the Directorate of Instruction, CAU, Imphal on the theme, "Developing Successful Research Grant Proposals" .
The inaugural session was graced by Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice Chancellor, CAU, Imphal; Prof Indira Sarangthem, Director of Instruction; Prof Ph Ranjit Sharma, Director of Extension Education; Dr L M Garnayak, Director of Research and Dr Ng Iboyaima, Dean, COFT as presidium members.

Delivering the welcome address, Prof Indira Sarangthem highlighted the importance of conducting the 2nd Induction Programme and encouraged all the participants to actively participate and embrace this opportunity with an open mind to get a productive and enriching experience.
Dr Anupam Mishra stated that the induction programme was organised with a view to establish an inter-institutional platform for capacity building.
He consented to the idea of a borderless institution and emphasized the importance of education for inclusive development.
The VC also stressed on the need for collaborative research in undertaking fruitful research works for the development of the university.
Prof Ph Ranjit Sharma, Dr L M Garnayak and Dr Ng Iboyaima spoke on the inter relatedness of Teaching, Research and Extension.
They focused on the need for collaborating with good funding agencies to further research and development.
During the week-long programme, 16 experts from renowned funding agencies and reputed institutions of India shall be sharing their expertise in 14 technical sessions (9 offline/ 5 online) .
Altogether, 42 newly recruited faculties and scientists of the 13 constituent colleges of CAU, Imphal are taking part in the programme.
