Imphal, May 23 2014 : An e-governance package named Intra IBSD was launched today at the Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) with Chief Minister O Ibobi, Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai and MLA L Nandakumar as presidium members.

Speaking at the occasion, O Ibobi stated that e-governance would be very helpful in bringing efficiency and transparency in all functions and activities of Government offices.

As IBSD has launched e-governance package, people can now access e-governance facilities and obtain information on what the institute has been doing as well as their work progress.

The Govt would work to make e-governance facilities accessible not only at Imphal but also at all district headquarters and interior areas.

Though Manipur is a small State, the State Govt never hesitated while allotting land for setting educational institutions.

The Govt earlier allotted enough space for setting IIT, NIIT etc, Ibobi stated.

It is the responsibility of both the Government and the people to identify different resources found in the State for sustainable exploitation.

IBSD should take pro-active roles in this work, AK Mirabai asserted.

After launching the IntraIBSD (e-governance package), Chief Minister O Ibobi gave away certificates to NIC Scientist-F Praveen Mitra, IBSD staff Bharat Somkuamr and NIC Scientist-C Bhala Dutt.
