Adventure sports at Khuman Lampak

Necessary preparations have been made at Khuman Larnpak Sports Complex to host the indigenous and adventure sports, as a part of the 10 days Manipur Sangai Festival which began from today.
Proper venues/spots for indigenous games like Mukna Takhatnabi, Cheibi, Thang Ta, Sarit Sarak have been prepared near the rowing canal of the sports complex.
, Necessary preparations have also been made for the adventure sports of the festival, under the aegis of Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association (MMTA) which includes rope bridge (Burma Bridge), spider net, land zorbing, slidering, ATV bike, water surfing, water rolling, rafting, trampolin jump, motor boat and boulder climbing.
Around 90 members of MMTA are actively involved to ensure the success of the adventure sports at the venue.
The members expressed confidence that new adventure activities like water rolling, slidering, trampolin jump and motor boat which were added this year, will be able to bring in more visitors.
The indigenous sports also include Kang which will be organised at Kangshang.
Although the venue is focused primarily on sports, numerous food and handicraft stalls dot the venue, including a stall of Food Safety and Standards Enforcement Wing, Manipur Health Department.
An amusement park is also opened at the sports complex for the children.
