Grenade lobbed at workers' shed opposite ISBT on Dingku road
4 hurt in second blast within 11 days

Imphal, November 06 2011:
At least four labourers were injured when unidentified miscreants lobbed a grenade at a workers' shed on Dingku road opposite the under construction Inter-State Bus Terminus today at about 7.40 pm.
The labourers were engaged for the ongoing construction of a drain opposite to the ISBT.
The hand grenade landed and exploded at the southern side of the shed, which is made of bamboo and covered with a tarpaulin as the roof.
Four labourers who were inside the shed were injured in the blast.
The injured labourers have been identified as Maibam Nabi (50) of Salungpham, Thangjam Raghu (40) of Salungpham, Khumanthem Jugol (40) of Heirok Part III and Ningthoujam Manglem (26) also from Heirok Part III .
All four have been admitted to RIMS.
Raghu who suffered facial injuries is stated to be in critical condition.

The shed was put up today and six labourers are supposed to stay there.
The other two, Khumanthem Abung (22) of Heirok Part III and Maibam Bangka (26) of Salungpham, had gone out to fetch water when the blast occurred.
Police recovered the lever of a hand grenade from the blast site and bomb splinters.
Lamphel police have registered a case and investigation is on.
This is the second blast in the heart of Imphal in 11 days.
On October 26, two bombs exploded in quick succession of each other at Thangal bazar while the Diwali festival was on.
