The Interface

What actually is the Central Government's policy towards Manipur state is still a mystery. The move of the centre is still in obscurity. Why should it support the cause of NSCN (IM) - a militant outfit who resorted to violence for achieving any of its objective amidst the cry and shouts of the common people.
This testify the persecution of the common people in general and violation of the Preamble of the Constitution. Is this policy of upholding the rights of the terrorist at the cost of rights of livelihood of the common people in the agenda of a welfare state as promised in the preamble and Directive principles of states policy.
Where are our fundamental rights? I fear the Government of India which is also the largest democracy in the world fells to see it. Or is the govt playing the game of blind eye and deaf ear?
Is there a tug of war going on between the state govt and the central govt? Why is honourable Home minister Mr. Chidambaram sitting idly as a mere spectator when the cause of the turmoil in the state is attributable to his thoughtless words of consent given to Muivah's entry into the state where the latter is still one of the dreadest criminal in the state with a reward of more than 3 lakhs on his head and thousand of criminal cases pending against him.
Isnt the centre's interventiion in the state affairs a sign of its effort to buttress its authority n humiliation of the rights of the states? Does the constitution really agrees to it? Why isnt the state govt pointing its finger at the centre even when the blockade hits a world record of 60 days and still on?
Does the state govt really reeling under the pressure of the politics of the centre? Seems that CM of Manipur hasnt any power left to voice against the centre. Why cant he ask as to whether the people of Manipur are not Indians or only the NSCN IM are Indians?
As for Mr. Muivah, I opined he is certainly one of the most foolish person in the world. He knows that by acceding to the peace talk with the Govt. of India he had certainly committed the biggest mistake of his life. Moreover I considered him deceiving his own people with a daydream , promised in the air by the Centre to appease him.
Despite of more than sixty rounds of talk, there hasnt been an inch of development in their cause. Seems that due to the lack of keen insight of the home minister, Mr. Muivah's calculations of causing an upheaval in the state succeeded again.
Was it a miscalculations on the part of New Delhi or a deliberate attempt of New Delhi to propagate sectarianism. Whatever, Muivah achieved to come to the spotlight which shall refresh their movement again. But the eagle eyed New Delhi seems to follow the policy of the carrot and the sticks.
This, Mr. Muivah though endowed with great expertise in his inhuman activities failed to digest the honey trap of the Central Govt. He doesnt even know that he has been reduced to a mere pawn in the political game.. oh pity.. Recent immature policies like visiting the NNC & NSCN K stronghold Phutsero of his lends credence to his stupidity n the end of his period.
He has no place of his own anymore..Manipur disowns him...Eastern Nagaland disowns him..NSCN K & NNC is behind him. His little supporters though tried to produce a mammoth movement losing its strength due to the degrading morale of the people? Indeed this fellow who talks about humanity when he doesnt even know the rules of humanity is one of the biggest enemy of mankind.
Though the visit of Mr. Muivah was the immediate cause of the chaos and sufferings of the people, the failure of the goverment is no doubt the primary cause of all the political, economical n social unstability in the state. The ignorants on the hot seats have bought all the nonsense top officals. The machineries are so degraded and corruptive to produce any possible development imprint on the society.
The second main reason of the servitude status of the state is the existing virtual state of dual goverment. The so called revolutionaries dont fall behind the govt in sucking the blood out of the common people. The extortion activities by some UNLF cadres from the truckdrivers amidst the prevailing hardships at Golathan on the night of 09 Jun 10 testify to the above fact and crosses all barriers of humanity.
Nevertheless, the changing attitude of the young intellectuals from a bourgeious one to a more social welfare oriented and this very idealogy when infiltrate down into the masses may bring about a profound change in the society. The state of servitude of the people is causing psychological explosion of the minds of the masses which shall invoke people to stand against all kinds of oppression of the so called revolutionaries and the state govt in the near future.
The above statement is justified by the recent formation of SPOs in Chajing and Heirok against the profuse violation of human rights by the some revolutionary party. The NSCN IM, it's chief Muivah, State govt and Central govt are collectively responsible for the rift between the Nagas and the other communities created by the blockade which has become so steep to flatten it.
What the future of Manipur holds for all of us seems quite clouded and obscure! But it will be wise on the part of the people to follow their conscience and act out of their dexterity because vandalism, blockade, sectarianism are all the elements of uncivilisation and primitiveness which still is one of the most important characteristics of the Manipuri society.
At this juncture, the creation of an interface to mend the lacuna caused by the blockade is a much necessity to bring about a peaceful future. And let the interface be in the form of believe of humanity in its quest of love, peace, unity and prosperity.
