Ms Nellie Laisram, daughter of Dr Laisram Immo Singh and Laisram Binodini Devi has been awarded the prestigious Professor N.S. Rangaswamy Medal-2009 for the Best Ph. D. Thesis in Botany, University of Delhi, Delhi, for the academic year 2008-2009 for her thesis entitled "Studies on Microbial Antagonism: Application of Soil Bacteria Showing Biocontrol Potential Against Fusarium spp." She has carried out her research work under the supervision of Prof. Ved Pal Singh.
Dr Nellie Laisram is presently teaching as a Guest Lecturer in Miranda House College and concurrently working in a Research Project in Department of Botany, University of Delhi, Delhi.
