U-14 Boys Cricket : Henba Paonam bowls PTRC to 91-run victory

Henba Paonam picked 6 wickets to steer PTRC, Patsoi to a huge 91 run victory against SCCC, Singjamei in a Group B tie at their home ground.
It was their fourth win in five matches and the result helped PTRC stay second in the group table behind YWC, Langthabal who have won five of five matches.
SCCC opted to field first but ended up seeing PTRC gather 195/10 in 27.1 overs despite Moirangthem Johnson (4/17 in 5 overs) and Khongbantabam Aristotle (3/24 in 4.1 overs) sharing seven wickets.
They however got cold feet in the chase and slumped to 104 all out in 15.5 overs as Henba Paonam ran through their line up on the way to his haul of 6 wickets (6/10) in a spell of 2.5 overs and N Ngambarel grabbed two wickets to add teeth to PTRC bowling attack.
Earlier in the PTRC innings, Benson Yumnam hit a half century (57 off 63 balls) and Bush Sagolshem added crucial 39 runs while Mangal Sagolshem added 21 off 20 balls.
Moirangthem Johnson 47 and Tomthinganba 24 were the main run getters for SCCC in the chase which saw five batters departing on ducks.
Henba Paonam was eventually adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at THAU ground, SYDO posted a 95-run victory over NCA, Nambol for their first Group A win in five matches.
Nongjaimayum Zawuees Khan scored 61 off 57 before SYDO slumped to 190/10 in 26.4 overs with Th Bikash (2/23), S Punsiba (2/25) and Th Avinash (2/54) of NCA sharing 7 wickets.
But the total was too big as NCA got dismissed for just 94 runs in 21 overs with Md Safinllah (4/7) and Me Raj Kosar (3/17) producing stellar bowling performances for SYDO.
The day also saw MPA, Thounaojam securing their fourth Group C win in five matches by thrashing CYSA, Khangabok by 7 wickets.
They bowled out CYSA for just 32 runs in 20.4 overs courtesy of Th Chinglensana (3/5), Chongtham Priyokumar (3/5) and Soram Dayananda (2/0) before cruising to 33/2 for the win within 7.2 overs on the back of Ch Sitaranjan 12 not out and Ch Priyokumar 14 not out.
In the group D match staged at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, RCA posted their third win in five matches by beating KASC by 30 runs.
