Junior Girls Inter District Football League IWDFA emerge champion via goal difference

Imphal West District Football Association (IWDFA) clinched the title of the 15th Junior Girls Inter District Football League, organised by the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA), today at Artificial Turf Ground, Khuman Kampak, Imphal.
In today's final, IWDFA emerged champion of the league via goal difference after the match between IWDFA and IEDFA ended in a 4-4 draw.
The match began with IEDFA taking an early lead after W Ranjibala slammed home the opening goal in the 6th minute after kick off.
Minutes later, Kashmina netted another goal to give 2 goals to IEDFA in the 10th minute.

On the other hand, N Ratanbala of IWDFA pulled back a goal in the 13th minute.
IEDFA witnessed their third goal after W Ranjibala banged in her second goal in the 30th minute.
Minutes later, IWDFA reduced the margin after Y Hemolata secured their second goal in the 41st minute.
The first half ended in a 3-3 tie after S Ichan of IEDFA hit an own goal in the 45th minute.
Soon after the breather, IEDFA witnessed Kashmina slamming their fourth goal in the 53rd minute.
On the other hand, IWDFA did not lose hope and fought back hard with a series of attack.
Their efforts finally paid off after A Roja and Y Heomlata banged in a goal each in quick succession.
The two goals for IWDFA came in the 67th and 69th minute from the respective players making the scoreline 5-4 .
IWDFA continued with more attacks, but in the midst a counter strike from Kashmina helped IEDFA come back into the match in the 82nd minute.
The match ended in a 5-5 draw.
Team champion IWDFA were awarded a cash prize of 10,000 along with a trophy while runner's up IEDFA received a cash prize of Rs 5000 and a trophy.
The closing ceremony of the tournament was attended by AMFA president P Raghumani as a presidium member.
